Rehearsals

We’ll send out a rehearsal schedule a few weeks before rehearsals start. Daily rehearsals are for everyone in the cast, so you should prepare to be in on all the published days. Extra rehearsals may be called for Principal roles and also for some specific numbers. These will be advised as far in advance as possible.

You should always wear your BBEXP T-Shirt uniform during rehearsals. In addition, wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in and appropriate footwear.

We don’t supply any meals or snacks. Participants who are aged 13-years-old and above can leave the rehearsal (with signed permission for those under 16) during breaks to visit the local shops. However, we recommend bringing a packed lunch, snacks and water with you every day.

We take a daily register of all participants, so if you’re unable to attend a rehearsal due to illness (or something else), email bbexp@bythecollectives.global as soon as possible to let us know. If you don’t let us know in advance by email, then the participant’s parent/guardian will receive a phone call or email at the start of the rehearsal to check everything is ok.

NB due to the fast paced nature of the BBEXP productions, it may not always be possible to slot you into numbers if you’ve missed rehearsal time, although we’ll do our very best!

We take a daily register of all participants, so if you need to leave early or arrive late, email bbexp@bythecollectives.global as far in advance as possible to let us know.

Please call BBEXP on 0331 630 0762, and we’ll let your child know that you’re running late. A member of the BBEXP team will wait with them until you arrive.

We’ll share a themed ‘Look Book’ at Registration Day which includes items we’d love you to source – although there’s absolutely no expectation to buy anything new, as these items you should be able to borrow from friends or family. Any specific, specialist items will be supplied by BBEXP.

In both the rehearsal space and the theatre, we’ll designate a specific area for ‘lost/left’ items. If these are not collected by the time we leave the rehearsal space or theatre venue, then we’ll recycle them.

Yes, but these cannot be used in the rehearsal hall, unless your device is being used to record vocal tracks.

Yes. All participants will be invited to order one FREE T-Shirt which must be worn during rehearsals. There are other items available for purchase (including additional T-Shirts to allow for washing!).
